R

Every litigation against Coaching Classes is fought by MCOA on behalf of the Community of Coaching Classes. No other recognised body till date has stood for the Court cases filed against Coaching Classes. We all have been smoothly running our Coaching Classes without fear of interference by government bodies and other machineries because MCOA intervened in all cases and stood for our community in the court room for last two decades.

R

MCOA is the only body approached by all news agencies like Times of India, Mumbai Mirror, Hindustan Times, lndian Express, Mid-Day, DNA, Lokmat…etc. Whenever any issues or voice has been raised against Coaching Classes or if our industry’s name has been defamed to fight such issues, MCOA becomes the Voice for Coaching Class Industry.

R
MCOA is committed to the betterment of our segment, in every way possible. We are taking various steps in this regards, by approaching & representing our views to the Government on issues like Teachers & Colleges involved in Capitation as well as Reduction of GST for Coaching Classes. MCOA is always at the forefront in taking up serious matters like paper leaks, wrong question papers, clashing timetables, exam centre etc, with Hon. Education Minister.
R

MCOA is the first to raise voice against Integrated Courses in a big way. It has filed a writ petition in High Court in 2016 stating that tutorials, which run coaching integrated with Colleges must be disallowed. The State has accepted the existence of such nexus and stated in its affidavit that it will not tolerate integrated system and has cracked down on some of them.

R
The State Government has formed a Committee to bring Coaching Classes under Regulation. Our Ex-President & Founder Member, Prof. Jagdish Walawalkar, has been appointed to the Committee and he is strongly representing our cult. So, we also have a voice inside the Government machinery. We have already formed a Sub-committee under MCOA, which has drafted a Recommendation of Rules & Regulations for Coaching Classes, keeping all ground realities in mind and the draft has already been submitted.
R
The Schools & Colleges get updates of various Laws, Rules & Regulations, Acts, Change of Syllabus, Time Tables of Board Exams through GRs or official letters sent by Government bodies such as BMC and Mumbai University as they are the Governing Bodies under which all Schools & colleges need to operate. MCOA takes all possible efforts to keep the Class Owners updated about the mentioned aspects, by arranging various seminars, workshops and meetings, from time to time.
R
For the growth & development of Coaching Class Community, MCOA conducts various seminars and workshops at zonal levels across Mumbai & it’s outskirts, which helps all Class Owners to be at par with the ever changing Education Industry & provide the best services.
R
MCOA has formed a separate body called Teacher’s Training Academy which runs a comprehensive certified course “Train The Teacher” for faculty of coaching classes. Here, we train them on Teaching Skills, Communication Technique, Educational Psychology & Personality Development.
R
To mark the birthday of Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, when the nation celebrates Teacher‘s Day in various ways, Maharashtra Class Owners’ Association (MCOA) every year celebrate it in a unique way by felicitating Senior Teachers, Authors and NGOs who have rendered noble service to society at large, along with a Fun & Entertainment program for the Class Owners & Teachers.
R
MCOA has formed 8 Zonal Committees so that Class Owners can get local connect. Members can also attend seminars in any or all zones along with one AGM-cum-picnic & participate in annual Inter-Coaching Class Cricket tournament, involving their teaching staff.
R
We have formed 8 Zonal WhatsApp group where the members (Class Owners) get all the updates about seminars, workshops, news articles, time tables, various posts on education related content etc. Leads for teaching/ non-teaching requirements, references of vendors for various requirements get generated through the group. Buying & selling of benches and others classroom accessories is also being done through this group. The Class Owners can also look for collaboration and partnerships with other member Coaching Classes.
R
To have an entry barrier for Coaching Classes so as to protect and sustain the Coaching Class Industry, MCOA becomes the right platform where all Class Owners of a particular area can come together to decide the uniform fees structure and various other parameters which will help all Class Owners to survive in the currently hyper competitive market in long run. An attempt towards the same has been made by the Diva-Kasara Zone, where leading Class Owners of Commerce stream met to decide a uniform fees structure for all Class Owners. “Coming together, helping each other and working in harmony is not the sign of weakness, but the sign of wisdom.”
